We are pleased to announce that effective 1st August Rainbow & Brown are part of the Agrecovery stewardship programme to recycle plastic containers used rurally.

This means you no longer need to burn or bury your Rainbow & Brown herbicide, wetter or other HDPE plastic containers.  You can just drop these at approved drop off points including the quite amazing mobile recycling plant that tours the country.

Look for the Agrecovery logos on our labels or packaging.  These might just be stickers until we get new label runs done but this is fine. 

 

Herbicides

  • WHACK – 2,4-D 800 weedkiller. It controls broadleaf weeds in new and established pasture, and in cereals and is relatively clover friendly.  

  • BuckShot weedkiller is a dry granule that carries the active ingredient (picloram 20g/kg) into the soil, where it is absorbed into the roots and then transported up into all parts of the plant.

  • Decision herbicide is a selective herbicide comprising 800g/kg flumetsulam active ingredient, for post-emergent weed control in both new and established pasture, as well as in lucerne, chicory, clover, and maize crops.

  • Rainbow & Brown Dicamba 500 SL is a selective herbicide that will kill or control various broadleaf weeds in pasture, maize, some forage brassicas, and waste areas.

  • GA200 weed spray contains a glufosinate ammonium 200g/L active ingredient, controls a wide range of weeds, grasses, and clovers, and is safe to use in orchards and vineyards.

  • Rainbow & Brown's Glyphosate 360 weedkiller is a popular choice for total weed control and for pasture renovation and is the traditional 360g/L glyphosate product.

  • Rainbow & Brown's Glyphosate 540 weedkiller contains 540g/L glyphosate potassium salt active ingredient,  is a new technology, high-strength liquid glyphosate product which makes it is a popular choice for total weed control and for pasture renovation. 

  • Granny high-strength (800g/kg) glyphosate weedkiller in the form of a water-soluble granule that has no residual effect in the soil; drill new seed in two days.

  • Grassmate brush killer is a grass, turf and pasture-friendly way to control a wide range of prickle weeds, brush weeds and broadleaf weeds.  Grassmate is a selective herbicide that does not harm common pasture grasses and contains 300g/L triclopyr as the butoxy ethyl ester plus 100g/L picloram as the amine salt in the form of an emulsifiable concentrate.

  • Rainbow & Brown Halox 100 EC is a selective herbicide used to control grass weeds in certain broadleaf crops, nurseries, orchards, forestry,  white clover, and non-crop areas.  It contains 100g/L haloxyfop-P present as the methyl ester in the form of an emulsifiable concentrate.

  • Rainbow & Brown's MCPA 750 herbicide is for the control of thistles and other broadleaf weeds in pasture and cereal crops. It contains 750g/L of MCPA  dimethylamine salt as a water-soluble concentrate.

  • MSF600 is the lowest-cost gorse killer in our range, MSF600 metsulfuron-methyl herbicide is popular and proven in NZ.  It contains 600g/kg metsulfuron-methyl in the form of a soluble granule.

  • Ranger controls docks and buttercup and is a selective herbicide for use in pasture, wheat, barley, and oat crops. It contains 750g/kg thifensulfuron-methyl as a water-dispersible granule.

  • Triclo is a selective herbicide - it kills the target broadleaf or brushweeds without killing your desirable grasses. It contains 600g/L triclopyr as the butoxy ethyl ester. 

Wetters and Penetrants

  • BioWet is a natural general-purpose wetting agent, penetrant, and spraying oil for crop and fieldwork. 

  • Foam Crusher is an organosilicone based defoamer agent.  These are products that are added to herbicide and pesticide mixes to reduce the amount of foaming.

  • Spraywetter non-ionic surfactant, improves penetration, especially into harder and waxy plants.

  • Superwetter organosilicones penetrant provides optimum penetration into woody-stemmed species (gorse, blackberry, etc).
