Nitrogen Booster from Rainbow & Brown is a balanced blend of nitrogen-rich material including plant-based amino acids.  This means you get maximum uptake.  Because this is taken up by the foliage and the soil, it is much more effective than urea or other nitrogen fertilisers applied only to the soil.

WHAT IS NITROSOL NITROGEN BOOSTER LIQUID FERTILISER?

Nitrosol Nitrogen Booster is a scientifically developed blend of high nitrogen materials to ensure maximum uptake by plants and pasture.  

Plant-based Nitrogen is known to provide effective and fast uptake when fed through the foliage, plus the added benefit of the Nitrogen also being absorbed by the soil and subsequently acted on by soil microbes to provide a form of nitrogen that is readily taken in via the roots.

Hence, you get a mix of fast and slower-acting nitrogen.

• rapid uptake through the foliage
• soil storage of nitrogen for slower uptake via the root system.

WHY NITROSOL NITROGEN BOOSTER WORKS SO WELL

According to scientific results published by Wittwer, et al. (1957), 1kg of Nitrogen applied for foliar uptake is equivalent to 10kg of Nitrogen applied to the soil.

Nitrosol Nitrogen Booster does most of the heavy lifting through absorption through the foliage but also has the benefit of soil storage for slower uptake through the roots.

THE BENEFITS OF USING NITROSOL NITROGEN BOOSTER

• you can apply it as a liquid with other products such as Nitrosol Oceanic, herbicides, Gibber 900 gibberellic acid, Seaweed Extract Flake, and more.
• saves having to apply your liquids and then do a separate dry fertiliser spreader run.
• applying granular urea to the soil can result in high nitrogen losses through volatilisation, especially in the warmer months.
• pasture quality is improved and in the shoulder seasons spring and autumn, when used with Gibber 900  gibberellic acid, DM gains of up to 30% can be achieved within 3 weeks.
• Because much lower rates of N are applied, it is much easier to stay well under your nitrogen caps.  Basically, you are using 10x fewer nitrogen units.
• Nitrogen supplied in a plant-based form like Nitrogen Boost stimulate the existing soil biology including Azotobacter species which are well-known nitrogen-fixing bacteria.

NITROSOL NITROGEN BOOSTER APPLICATION RATES

Dairy or Sheep/Beef Pasture

Mix 20L/ha with minimum 100L/water per hectare.  This is ideal and is the equivalent of using 120kg Urea per hectare but without all the disadvantages of adding high N units and having to do a separate dry spreading run.

These are guidelines only for good results, but if you are applying lower rates of dry urea then scale back similarly.

If you are using with Gibber 900 gibberellic acid, we recommend using 10-15L/ha Nitrosol Nitrogen Booster to achieve similar results in the should seasons.

If you intend to apply straight to the soil prior to cultivation using fertigation,or irrigation systems, then lower rates (higher dilutions) can be used.

Fertigation

Apply 5-15L/ha at a rate of 200 - 400L/ha of water.  As you get the end of the irrigation/fertigation period make sure you flush out the system well with clean water including all the mainlines, sublines and internal delivery system.
