Rainbow & Brown's MSF600 gorse killer is ideal for control of gorse and other scrub weeds.  MSF600 herbicide is probably the most cost-effective weedkiller for gorse in NZ and is certainly the cheapest gorse killer Rainbow & Brown has to offer.

You need to be patient though.  The mode of action of MSF600 is basically to stop the gorse growing and once the plant realises it can't grow it just turns up its toes.  This is the layman's version.  

Anyway, be prepared to wait 3-6 months to see it completely dead.  If you want faster results you could use our Grassmate which is also very effective on Gorse and is much quicker to kill it but the cost is much higher than the very cost-effective and cheap to use MSF600 (metsulfuron-methyl)

  • MSF 600 herbicide controls gorse, bracken, manuka, blackberry, ragwort, thistles, and many other broadleaf & brush weeds. 
  • Use either SuperWetter organosilicone penetrant (for gorse control, blackberry control, etc) or SprayWetter non-ionic penetrant (other species) to aid herbicide penetration and boost performance.
