Redact™ Insecticide is a high-performance, multi-purpose pest control solution formulated for effective management of flies, lice and ticks on livestock, as well as a wide range of flying and crawling insects in domestic, industrial and public health environments across New Zealand.

Containing 200 g/L Cypermethrin, Redact is designed for direct application to cattle and horses, delivering fast knockdown and reliable control of fly pressure that can significantly impact animal comfort, productivity and welfare. It is also effective against lice and ticks on cattle, making it a practical all-round insect control tool for farm use.

Redact uses an advanced EW (oil-in-water emulsion) formulation, which offers several advantages over traditional solvent-based insecticides:

• Up to 40 % less spray drift compared with EC formulations, improving placement and safety

• Low odour and low volatility, reducing fumes for both animals and applicators

• No petroleum solvents or xylene, making it kinder on animals, people, equipment and surfaces

• Non-flammable formulation, improving on-farm safety

The product utilises zeta-sized particles, which are significantly smaller than conventional formulations. This increases the number of contact points between the insecticide and the target pest, allowing for faster uptake and improved efficacy at label rates.

Redact may be applied via spray race systems or hand spraying, making it suitable for dairy sheds, cattle yards, feed pads, stables and larger livestock operations. It is approved for use on lactating dairy animals, provided label directions are followed carefully to avoid milk contamination, including avoiding application to teats and during milking.

In addition to livestock use, Redact also provides effective control of ants, cockroaches, fleas, flies, mosquitoes and spiders in and around buildings, making it a versatile option for mixed farm, lifestyle block and rural property pest management.

Directions for Use – Redact Insecticide 1 L

1. Ensure all instructions on the product label and SDS are read before application.

2. Use a clean sprayer dedicated to pesticide application.

3. For livestock use: Dilute the required amount of Redact in water and apply by hand-spraying or through a spray race system, according to label rates.

4. For property pest control: Apply mix as a residual surface spray around livestock yards, stables, sheds, feed pads, fences and external walls where pest insect activity is observed.

5. Re-treat high-traffic or high-activity areas as needed to maintain control.
