Healthy pasture soil wants its fungi and bacteria in rough balance, somewhere near 1:1. Years of cultivation and synthetic fertiliser leave most farmed soils heavily bacteria-dominated. When the fungal side is starved, soil holds less water, leaks more nitrogen, and leans harder on bought-in fertiliser to do a job the biology should be doing for free.

BioCharge Boost works by feeding the biology and giving it somewhere permanent to live. Three parts do the work:

• Charged biochar – a porous carbon lattice with an enormous internal surface area. It arrives already inoculated and biologically active, and acts as a permanent home for microbes to live in, hold moisture and oxygen, and keep cycling nutrients season after season. That carbon stays in the ground for decades.
• Fish hydrolysate – supplies the amino acids, fats and sugars that feed soil microbes and get the biology moving.
• Seaweed tonic – the step up in Boost. It feeds the broader microbial community once the fungal networks are established, supporting soil structure, microbial activity, moisture handling and nutrient efficiency.

Because the biochar is delivered already charged and biologically active, it skips the nutrient tie-up you can get when raw carbon goes on and microbes have to colonise it first.

Bring the soil back toward balance and the ground starts pulling its weight: better structure, better water and nutrient retention, and more of every input reaching the plant.

Should I start with BioCharge Boost?

Usually not. For most operations the place to start is BioCharge Fungal Feeder, the foundation of the range. It gets the fungal side of your soil working first. Boost is the step up you move to once that biology's established and the soil's ready for it.

What's the difference between Fungal Feeder, Boost and Max?

Fungal Feeder is the base – charged biochar and fish hydrolysate, no seaweed, so the fungal networks can establish first. Boost is Fungal Feeder plus a seaweed tonic, for when you want to push a balanced soil further. BioCharge Max is Boost plus a soluble NPKS nutrient blend, for growers who need targeted nutrition on top of the biology.

Is BioCharge Boost a fertiliser?

No. It's a soil biology treatment, deliberately low in nutrients. It won't replace your fertiliser, but by getting the biology working it helps unlock nutrients already locked up in the soil, so you can often ease back on bought-in inputs over time. If you want nutrition built in, that's what BioCharge Max is for.

Can I use it on a lifestyle block or small paddock?

Yes. It's supplied in commercial format, but the job's the same on a smaller block: improve soil function, root-zone performance and consistency.

When's the best time to apply?

Apply when soils are active and moisture is present. Autumn and spring are the common windows for biological soil work.

How quickly will I see results?

It's built for consistent performance over seasons rather than a quick hit, but customers usually see a clear response inside about 30 days, with the clover often the first thing to take off.
